Psalm 73 will help us to look at the apparent temporal prosperity of God’s enemies in the light of eternity and what the writer describes as their ‘final destiny’ (17). As a dream when one awakes, so when you arise, O Lord, you will despise them as fantasies … Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
